If you get this amp, getting a footswitch, even a simple one- is highly recommended. Typical of most vintage amps, the Normal channel only has volume control and does not allow EQ controls. It sound beautiful on the cleans (with lots of headroom because of the master control) and has the best creamy tube saturation I've ever heard. This is the best one I've ever tried, I assume it's the Alnico Blue speakers. At the moment, Im using some of your ideas rebuilding a Pignose G40V. I had experienced 3 previous Vox amps and one of them was a 1960's original AC30. Now, I love it even more than my Deluxe Reverb and I would choose it over almost every amp I've ever tried. Beyond any doubt, it is manufactured to exceptionally high standards, with painstaking accuracy that extends right down to. It uses the mixed steel and aluminium āLā-shaped chassis, which needs to be removed to change valves. I switched my Deluxe Reverb RI for the VOX amp for budget reasons.Also, I really love the fact that it's a Fender that smokes 3 packs a day (read it on a YT comment) and the Korg guys managed to make them so cheap in comparison with the other titan tube amps on the market in terms of production cost. The AC15 has the EF86 valve, which is a crucial part of its fat, punchy midrange. It's not an amp for everyone but if it fits your style it's the best choice you can make, hands down.
